He is Back! – Put on hold

An update on the movie “He is Back”, the movie  that was announced last year to star Abbas Alizada. He posted the following on Social Media:

“Hi dear fans , I would like to share an update on He Is Back the movie we launched in Dubai back in September, 2018 unfortunately due to some technical difficulties it’s sad to say that the project is on hold . I have always worked hard and believed in a good quality film with a meaningful script which could full fill the desire of my fans and the martial art lovers . I have presented and proposed rules in the films that didn’t match my image and the character as a martial artists “.

Once Upon a Time In Hollywood – Teaser Trailer Released

The first look at Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” was released online. The movie is set in the late 1960’s LA and tells the story of a TV actor and his stunt-double, played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. The teaser trailer features Mike Moh (Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist) as Bruce Lee, who is featured in the story because of his bizarre connection to the gruesome murder of Sharon Tate. The film is due for release in July 2019 in the US.


Dynamo – New Limited DVD Release from Germany

The latest title from the Asia Line collection from Germany is Dynamo, starring Bruce Li (Ho Chung-Dao) in one of his finest works.  DYNAMO is a genuine attempt to let audiences see that he could have been far more than just a shadow of his predecessor.  In an almost semi-biographical tale of Ho’s rise to stardom, the film is one of the stars favourites that he made. The DVD features a newly transferred 35mm print and is the best version currently available of the movie. It comes with English and German dubbed language selections and includes the full uncut version of the movie and the shorter German version.

Goodbye Mr. “KUNG FU” – Jon Benn passes away

More sad news to announce today as Jon Benn has passed away. Most fans will remember him from for his role as the Mafia boss in Bruce Lee’s “The Way of the Dragon”.  His delivery of the line “Kung Fu” earned him that nickname throughout his life. He later went on to appear as the mad scientist in “The Clones of Bruce Lee”. Benn also wrote of his experiences working with Bruce Lee in his book, “Remembering Bruce Lee”.  Jon died at his home at the age of 83.  May he rest in peace.


Legendary Producer Raymond Chow dies at age 91

Raymond Chow has sadly passed away at the age of 91. Raymond was the founder of Golden Harvest, the film studio that launched many Hong Kong cinema legends careers, including Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan.
